About James C. Sulecki

James C. Sulecki is the 2016 winner of the Nelson Ross Award from the Professional Football Researchers Association for “outstanding achievement in pro football research and historiography.” He is a fourth-generation Greater Clevelander, a one-time newspaper sports writer, and a long-time journalist who now is the chief content officer of a northeastern Ohio business media company. His grandfather and father were in attendance at the 1945 NFL Championship Game won by the Cleveland Rams. Sulecki lives with his wife Louise in Mentor, Ohio, and is researching a book about Art Modell and the move of the Cleveland Browns to Baltimore in 1995.
